Suomen Internet-yhdistys - the Finnish Internet Association

The Finnish Internet Association (Suomen Internet-yhdistys - SIY ry) was founded in 1994 and became a member association of the Finnish Information Processing Association, FIPA, (Tietotekniikan Liitto ry) in 2007. Our mission is to increase awareness of the Internet and its uses.

The Finnish Internet Association was chartered as the Finnish Chapter of the Internet Society (ISOC) in 1999. As part of the international Internet community we do our part to assure the open development, evolution and use of the Internet for the benefit of all people throughout the world.
